I have to admit that the Sideshow paint jobs are pretty good for the most part, but they are still mass-produced and can never match the care and craftsmanship of a hand-painted bust or figure.

I am a master painter and sculptor and have years of practical experience when it comes to repainting and resculpting. Take a look at this Lord of the Rings Moria Orc bust I resculpted and repainted. I wanted the eyes to match the scene in the movie where the orc with the big catlike eyes snarls at Frodo, so I resculpted the eyes.

Here is a before-and-after shot of the bust.

This is a resculpt and complete repaint of the Star Trek: The Original Series Spock (Sideshow) to turn him into the alternate-universe Spock from the episode"Mirror, Mirror." Note the changes in facial sculpting and the uniform.
