n addition to my sculpting, I am an award-winning model builder and painter and I'm thrilled to report that my paint work has been showcased in Spectrum 13: The Best In Contemporary Fantastic Art. Here's the story: my friend, sculptor Mike Petryszak, worked closely with famed comic artist Frank Cho to produce his version of Dejah Thoris (from the Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter of Mars series) as a limited edition resin statue. I got a copy from Mike and painted it, and Mike used that copy to promote his work at conventions and such. In addition, he submitted a picture of the statue for inclusion in the prestigious Spectrum series of art books, and they included it in volume 13!

So I am credited for painting the statue, along with Mike (sculpture) and Frank (original design). Scroll down to see the paint job I did!
