at his most malevolent. I went around and around trying to figure out
some kind of base for the snake when I hit on the idea of a Burton-esque
Jack-in-the-box. I had a lot of fun doing this one until it came to the
scales. Then I had...less fun. The hair is theatrical crepe hair. In answer
to an often-asked question, no, the Jack-in-the-box doesn't work. The
sculpture measures 19 inches tall. (The
little gold things on the top of the box are beetles)
