October 16, 2005 -- HELLBOY BUST COMPLETED!!

I just finished a really fun and fulfilling project--everyone's favorite monster basher, Hellboy! This one is unlikely to be a kit, but check it out anyway!

July 3, 2005 -- WOLVERINE BUST IS DONE!

I finally finished the Wolverine bust and it is available as kit now, It's called "Bad Idea, Bub," and is 8 inches of soon-to-be-ass-kickin' fun. Check it out here.

May 25, 2005 -- TARMAN AND WOLVERINE!

I just finished a Tarman Zombie from Return of the Living Dead for a customer, which was a really fun project to work on. I love doing multimedia pieces, which is a nice change of pace from sculpting everything in clay. Check it out here.

I am working on a personal project that may end up being a kit (not sure yet). This is a bust of everyone's favorite ass-whuppin' X-Men superhero: Wolverine. You can follow his progress in the Workshop.

FEBRUARY 4, 2005 -- DAN GETS HIS FIRST ARTICLE IN AMAZING FIGURE MODELER!

The site has been overdue for an update, so I'm happy to make the first update of the new year by announcing that I have an article in the current issue of Amazing Figure Modeler! I wrote an article about converting a Playboy doll into a Harley Quin for issue #32 (their Gothic-themed issue)! AFM is a kickass magazine for model builders, so check it out.

JUNE 24, 2004 -- NEW DAN PEREZ STUDIOS KIT: INTRODUCING L'IL CTHULHU!

I'm happy to be releasing a brand new kit. As a lifelong fan of H.P. Lovecraft's fiction, and with lifelong interest in carnivals and sideshows, it was inevitable that I would sculpt something like this. And so here he is, ready to float in a tank until his dad rises from the bizarre undersea city of R'lyeh. Li'l Cthulhu comes with or without a clear plastic tank, and he needs a home!

JUNE 18, 2004 -- REVENGE OF SON OF BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE LONG OVERDUE UPDATES

I finally found the time to update the site. And what an update it is! Without further ado, I give you another in my popular series of sculpting-related tutorials: Making Your Own Sculpting Tools! That's right, the long-promised tutorial on creating homemade sculpting tools is here (mostly)! I plan to update this article with more installments in the coming days and weeks.

I've got some other stuff in the works, too, so I hope it's not another six months before I can do an update for the site.

In closing, I'd like to offer my sincere thanks for all the terrific emails I've got from fans of this site, both here in the U.S. and all over the world--it makes me feel good to have helped some folks out there in the global village. Keep 'em coming!

JANUARY 20, 2004 -- SO WHERE'S THE UPDATE, DAN?

Man, what a summer and fall! The site is badly due for an update, but I've been so busy it has been very difficult to find the time. I actually have some more tutorials planned, but they will have to wait until my project list thins out a little. Okay, here's the update: THE BUG IS BACK! Long out of production, my Arachnid Warrior is now back in production from Timeslip Creations. Click on the bug image to find out more!

Also, I'm pleased to report that my Beulah model made the cover of the Fall 2003 issue of Modeler's Resource. The magazine also ran a nice piece on creating a cool diorama for the kit! I'm still at work on the MR Space Sentinels kit, as well (see below).
