nother private commission, this will be a bust of the X-Men character Psylocke. The illustration shows the basic pose, but there will be some changes. I will add her katana in the hand with the fist and add some long, flowing hair behind her.

The basic pose

Below you can see the rough-in after a couple of hours' work.

Most of the work is on the pelvis and waist so far. It's a humble beginning, but she'll be looking more human soon.

Below is the rough after another few sessions. You can see the basic forms of the anatomy taking shape now. I haven't done much work to the back yet...

I've started refining now, working mostly on the torso and neck. The torso is almost done...

Working on the back, shoulders and upper arms. She's got a bit of plumber's butt going on there, huh?

Instead of an ovoid lump of clay, she has a head now. She still needs teeth and hair, but I will add those after the head is baked.

Below you will see that I've added ears and begun work on the hair and teeth.

The hair is now done.

Closing on on completion, now. Just a few details left before painting. You can see the brass katana now (no handle yet, but there will be one.
